Musselwhite Mine Shaft and Vent Collar

 

T0 build the mine shaft and vent collar we installed a sheet pile cofferdam with a 12 meter diameter and 15 meter depth. To reach the prescribed depth we used a combination of drilling, blasting and machine excavating. We then formed and poured a 7 meter diameter and 25 meter high concrete collar vent raise within the cofferdam. Additionally we formed and poured 750 cubic meters of concrete for pile caps, foundations and slabs for the vent shaft plenum and the blower building. After we supplied and installed a 70 HP 310x79 Steel piles for Vent plenum.
