Pierre Gagné Contracting was founded in 1978 by Pierre Gagné, one year after his arrival to Thunder Bay, ON from Quebec. The company started with a gravel truck and an excavator focusing on hauling gravel for gold mines in the region. In 1985 the company grew to the point that it was able to obtain construction bonding. This was a major milestone and allowed it to bid on larger contracts. Since then the company ran large projects across North America specializing in civil and marine contracting.
