Neebing-McIntyre Floodway Dredging

The dredging was part of the Lakehead Regional Conservation Authority, three-phase remediation project to clean out sediment along the floodway. The current from the McIntyre River causes the sediment to build up around the mouth and the sediment traps have to be periodically cleared as part of the regular maintenance.

We used as set of three barges for the purpose of dredging. Two were used for sediment depo and transport to the shore and the spud barge was the base for long reach excavator.
